WHALE WATCHING BOATS

Bubbles is a 23.5 metre modern, fast, powered catamaran. She was built by Gold Coast Ships in 2013 for use as a whale watching and snorkelling vessel in the Great Barrier Reef. She is in AMSA 1C Survey for 100 people and carries all required safety equipment. We purchased her in early 2020 to add to our whale watching business.

She is roomy, comfortable and has plenty of outdoor viewing areas. With her four separate outdoor decks she has lots of great vantage points to photograph whales from. Her upper deck has complete walk around access, with seating on both the forward and aft decks. There is plenty of space to relax and view whales and dolphins from.

She has a large downstairs cabin with comfortable seating and galley with tea and coffee facilities - great if the weather is cold or wet! She has two toilets each with hand basins.

Explorer is our smaller 17 metre monohull boat. She is powered using a Hamilton Jet system which is safer for the whales with no propellors.

She is wide and comfortable and has undercover seating for 64 passengers, however we limit the number of passengers to 46 when heading out into the ocean to ensure all passengers have plenty of room and viewing space.

She is an open vessel so we recommend dressing warmly and bringing a wet weather jacket if you have one. Please remember that you are going out into the ocean, you will be surrounded by water and as such you may get wet!

We do not recommend this boat for babies or children under 5 years of age as there is no indoor cabin. However, children over 5 years often love the boat as they enjoy the thrill of seeing whales at the waterline!

All viewing is on the one level and crew are accessible at all time to answer any questions you may have.

There is a toilet available on board.
